‘Children are the hope of tomorrow’
Holy Redeemer English Medium School, Belthangady beautifully celebrated Children’s day on November 14.
To make the day special for the children, an elegant celebration was organized in the school auditorium by the Headmaster and Staff members.
Chief guest Rev Fr Vincent Lobo, Adminstrator of Fr Muller’s Hospital, Thumbay, was escorted by Correspondent V. Rev. Fr.Walter D’Mello, Headmaster Rev Fr Clifford Pinto and PTA Vice President Mr Richard Sequiera.
A prayerful song filled the air with divine essence, gave a perfect beginning to the program. Words of welcome by Teacher Mary Suja were heartfelt. Welcome dance by the staff gave a wonderful essence for the day. Floral tribute to the portrait of Chacha Nehru was paid significantly by ahh the guests with School Pupil Leader Ashel D’Souza.
The chief guest gave a motivating message on using resources in a right way for the betterment, while correspondent in his presidential remarks urged the children to outpour their talents.
The teachers sang wishing songs of blessings and goodness. Children enjoyed the awe dance performances by the teachers that filled the atmosphere with energy and excitement. Prizes were distributed to the winners of class wise lucky games held previously on account of children’s day. The headmaster wished the children and told them about the further part of the celebration.
Spot games were conducted by the Headmaster, wherein Viola D’Souza of class 10, Mohammed Shahal of class 10 and Anam Ayesha of UKG.
Teacher Namitha proposed the vote of thanks and Teacher Pallavi compered the program. Shamanth of class 9 who wonderfully made the sketch of Nehru was honored
After the celebration, children from Play school to High school were served with sumptuous lunch. After lunch the celebration continued with the prize distribution ceremony of fine arts, cultural and sports events conducted during the year. The children enjoyed the day with joyful and cheerful moments.
