On account of World Drug Day, an Anti Drug Awareness Program was held in Holy Redeemer English Medium School, Belthangady on June 30.

The program began by invoking God’s blessing through a prayer song.

Headmaster Rev Fr Clifford Pinto introduced the resource person Mrs Ammi, Community Health Officer of Belthangady.

The program aimed at creating awareness among the students on the use of drugs. Students from class 6 to class 10 were present. The resource person clearly made the students know how the society is at present handling the drug abuse. The interactive session gave informative inputs to the students. In conclusion, an oath was taken to ‘say no to drugs’.  Teacher Preetha D’Souza compered the event. The awareness program was initiated by the School Anti Drug Committee.
