Christmas celebration

The joy and true meaning of Christmas was meaningfully celebrated at Holy Redeemer English Medium School on December 23rd.

The festive vibe was vibrantly created by the students of class 1, 3 and 9 to spread the joy of season.

Rev Fr Praveen D’Souza, Designated Director of ICYM, Diocese of Mangalore, was the chief guest. Correspondent V. Rev Fr Walter DMello and Headmaster Rev Fr Clifford Pinto were present.

The program began with a solemn prayer dance. Students of class 3 Alvina, Shaifa, Angeline, Abhiraj, Alston and Ajmal welcomed the gathering with a cheerful guesture.

Christmas reminds us of many charms and symbols. The significance of christmas symbols were wonderfully expressed by the little ones of class 1. Beautiful dances and Carol singing by the students added more charm to the celebration filling the air with joy. The story of birth of Jesus Christ was well displayed through a tableau by the students of class 9.

The chief guest delivered an insightful message highlighting the true meaning and significance of Christmas. Headmaster appreciated the students and teachers for their efforts in making the event a fruitful one. Correspondent in his presidential motivated the students to start afresh in the vacations.
The grand surprise entry of Santa Claus mesmerized the students, who interacted with the kids and brought a smile on their face.
Avil Lobo of class 9 proposed the vote of thanks. Anisha Desa and Riona Sequiera of class 9 compered the program.
Teachers Saritha Rodrigues, Prabha Gowda, Sumithra and Jonita Korrea were the program coordinators.
Celebration meaningfully ended by singing the school anthem and distributing cake and sweets to the students.
