School Cabinet Election

‘True leadership is about transforming limitations into possibilities’
School cabinet election of Holy Redeemer English Medium School was held on June 25th. To instill the leadership quality and experience the procedure, cabinet election was held following all the basic process of election.
School cabinet election was held for various posts. The candidates filed their nominations to the Headmaster who played the role of the Election commissioner. Later, nominations were scrutinized and the final list of candidates to contest for the election was declared. Finalized candidates went on campaigning.
On the day of election, a polling booth was set up comprising of the Polling officers, Polling booth guards, EVM operators and Micro observers.
Students from class 5 to class 10 were the eligible voters. At the polling booth, the voters’ identification were verified using the school ID and their forefinger were inked by the polling officers, to symbolize their vote. The students casted their votes using the Electronic Voting Machines managed by the EVM operators. On completing the polling, micro observer counted the votes and prepared the result.
The results of the election were declared by the Headmaster in the school assembly the next day. Video display of the nominees and winners was shown in all classes.
