The 80th Independence Day was celebrated with a zeal of patriotism at Holy Redeemer English Medium School in collaboration with Church Higher Primary School.
School Pupil Leader Riona Sequiera welcomed the guests, escorted by the school band led by Aadlin Pereira and Manvi.
Chief guest Mr. Ronald Silvan D’Souza, Executive Director of Leksa Lighting and Technologies Private Limited, hoisted the national flag. The school band offered salutation to the National flag while the choir sang the National anthem followed by National song marking. .
Through the patriotic songs and dances, the students entertained everyone reflecting love for the country. Students Mrudula Kulal and Hamshika spoke on the significance of Independence Day.
The event was graced by the presence of Mr. Walter Monis, Vice President and Mr. Gilbert Pinto, Secretary of the Parish Pastoral Council; Mr Thomas Pinto Coordinator of Pastoral Commissions, Mrs. Renny Vas, Headmistress of Church higher primary School; Mr. Richard Sequeira and Mr. Raghavendra Shenoy, Vice President of the Parent Teachers Association of both schools. The presence of Parents and Prishners were gracious. Headmaster Rev. Fr. Clifford Pinto introduced the guest.who later delivered a wonderful message on being youthful to the country. The Joint Secretary Rev. Fr. Walter D’Mello delivered the Independence Day message and conveyed his best wishes
Vibhisha welcomed the gathering, while Avin Fernandes proposed the vote of thanks and Vionna Moras compered the program. On this joyous moment, sweets were distributed to all.
