“A Teacher is like a candle that burns itself to light the world of a student”
A day dedicated for teachers was wholeheartedly celebrated at Holy Redeemer English Medium School Belthangady on September 5th. The students of class 10 took initiative in organizing the event very meticulously. The teachers were grandly welcomed to the celebration by the school band, while the students and PTA members presented a flower as a token of welcome.
Prayer song sung by the students gave a solemn start for the program, while lighting the lamp indicated the formal inauguration. Joint Secretary Very Rev Fr Walter DMello, Headmaster Rev Fr Clifford Pinto and PTA Vice President Mrs Priya Lobo were the guests. Jenisha Pereira welcomed the gathering whole heartedly.
The dignitaries and all teachers paid a floral tribute to the potrait of Dr Radhakrishnan. The students wished the Teachers through a meaningful wishing song. Students Rithik Shetty and Riona Sequiera delivered the Teachers’ day speech.
Passed out Sudhanva A.R who secured 10th rank in the SSLC board exam 2026 was honoured. SSLC teachers who contributed towards securing 100% result in SSLC exam 2026 were also honoured.
The students entertained the gathering with vibrant dances. Few recreational spot games and lucky games were conducted by Arvin D’Souza, wherein the teachers enjoyed carefree.
The headmaster appreciated the initiation and participation of class 10 students, while the Joint Secretary shared his insights on the roles of an ideal teacher.
Arvin D’Souza proposed the vote of thanks. Students Lahari, Fathimath Hishana and Shravani compered the program. On this occasion, refreshments were given to all students.
