Patron’s Day Celebration

The feast of the school Patron Holy Redeemer, the spiritual guide and protector of the school, was celebrated at Holy Redeemer English Medium School, Belthangady on August 13th.
The program began solemnly with a prayer dance invoking God’s blessings. Students of class 2 graciously welcomed the gathering.
Rev. Fr Anil DSilva, Former Headmaster of Holy Redeemer School and presently the Parish Priest of St John Baptist Church, Kokkada was the chief guest. Correspondent V. Rev. Fr Walter D’Mello and Headmaster Rev. Fr Clifford Pinto were present.
The program was inaugurated by lighting the lamp by the dignitaries, accompanied by the School Pupil Leader Riona Sequiera and program coordinators Teacher Prabha Gowda and Sumithra
Nida Fathima of Class 9 narrated the significance of celebrating Patron’s Day, which was followed by a floral tribute and salutations to the statue of the Most Holy Redeemer by the dignitaries.
The entire program, consisting of vibrant dances and a skit, was wonderfully showcased by the students of Class 2 and Class 9 under the guidance of the program coordinators.
The chief guest, Rev. Fr Anil DSilva addressed the students with a sense of nostalgia, recalling the early years of the school and motivating the students to do their best.
The Correspondent reflected on the meaning of Redeemer and with blissful words encouraged the students to remain focused on their academics. The Headmaster motivated the students to strive for excellence and victory in all school activities.
On this occasion, students who secured prizes in various events were honoured.
Alisha Santhmayor of class 9 proposed the vote of thanks. The program concluded by singing the school anthem. Deleena DAlmeida and Mrudula Kulal of class 9 compered the event beautifully.
