Farewell and Birthday Celebration

‘Every ending is a new beginning, memories made will go unfading’.
Farewell for the outgoing students of Class 10 of batch2025-26  of Holy Redeemer School English Medium was held on March 3rd in the school auditorium.
The students were grandly welcomed with the beats of drums. Program began by seeking God’s blessings by singing a solemn hymn.
Correspondent V. Rev. Fr. Walter D’Mello, Headmaster Rev. Fr. Clifford Simon Pinto and PTA Vice President Mr Richard Sequeira were the guests. Vinisha Pinto graciously welcomed the gathering. Students of class 9 and class 8 entertained the gathering with dances, skirt and acrobatic moves to the musical beats.
Correspondent honoured the toppers of Diocesean Catechism and Value education exam, Merwin D’Souza and Sudhanva, and all students of Class 10, who appeared for the exam. He addressed the students to work hard selflessly and focus on success, following the values learnt at school. On behalf of the outgoing students, Merwin D’Souza out poured his thoughts and shared his feelings on the times spent at school. Class teacher Mrs Blendin Rodrigues expressed her feelings and wished all good to the outgoing students. Headmaster presented memento to all students as a token of memory, and wished them good luck for their future days. The outgoing batch of students handed over their contribution to the headmaster.
At the same time, 71st birthday of the Correspondent, Very Rev Fr Walter D’Mello was celebrated joyfully. Birthday celebration was highlighted by cutting the cake, while students sang the melody of the birthday song. The headmaster wished the correspondent with words of gratitude and good wishes, and presented a bouquet, and all staff members whole heartedly presented a birthday gift.
PTA Vice President also presented a bouquet to the correspondent wishing him on his birthday, on behalf of all thhe PTA Committee members.
This occasion also marked farewell to Mrs Gretta Bennis, who selflessly served in this institution for 16 long years, with dedication and commitment. Her service in the school was appreciated by the Correspondent and Headmaster and honors were made, along with all staff. Later, Mrs Gretta outpoured her experience and memories.
Rithik gratefully thanked the gathering. Avil Lobo and Fathimath Zaifa compered the program beautifully. Students of class 9 and class 8 rightfully hosted the farewell program under the guidence of the class teachers Mrs Saritha Rodrigues, Mrs Prabha Gowda and Mrs Preetha D’souza.
The program ended with the singing of school anthem and relishing refreshments.
