The 79th Independence Day was celebrated with a zeal of patriotism at Holy Redeemer English Medium School in collaboration with Church Higher Primary School.

School Pupil Leader Ashel D’Souza welcomed the guests, escorted by the school band led by Sinchana.

Chief guest Mr. John Menezes hoisted the national flag, while the school band offered salutation to the National flag. Correspondent, Rev. Fr. Walter D’Mello delivered the Independence Day message and conveyed his best wishes.

Through the patriotic songs and dances, the students entertained everyone reflecting love for the country. Student Vidya spoke on the significance of Independence Day.

The event was graced by the presence of Mr. Walter Monis, Vice President and Mr. Gilbert Pinto, Secretary of the Parish Pastoral Council; Mrs. Pauline Rego, Coordinator of Pastoral Commissions, Mrs. Renny Vas, Headmistress of Church higher primary School; Mr. Richard Sequeira and Mr. Habeeb, Vice Presidents of the Parent Teachers Association of both schools. Presence of Parents and Parishners were gracious. Headmaster Rev. Fr. Clifford Pinto introduced the guest.

Vinisha Lasrado welcomed the gathering, Riona proposed the vote of thanks and Mrudula Kulal compered the program.

On this joyous moment, sweets were distributed to all.
